Anchorpoint Plans to Bring Hong Kong Dollar Stablecoin HKDAP to Solana
The proposed integration would support retail payments and tokenized real-world asset trading, but no Solana launch date has been set.

Anchorpoint Financial plans to expand its Hong Kong dollar-backed stablecoin HKDAP to Solana, a proposed move that would add the network to the token’s current Ethereum-only beta and support payment and asset-trading uses.
The collaboration with the Solana Foundation, announced Oct. 30, would enable native issuance and redemption on Solana. Anchorpoint’s proposed uses include retail payments, tokenized real-world asset trading and other high-volume transactions, with near-instant settlement. The companies have not announced a launch date or published a Solana contract address.
HKDAP’s beta is available to corporate and professional investors through authorized distributors, and Ethereum mainnet is its only supported network during this phase. Anchorpoint’s broader full launch, including retail access, is targeted as early as the end of 2026, subject to readiness. The company has not set a separate date for either retail availability or the Solana integration. Its earlier retail-launch timeline also left the timing subject to readiness.
HKDAP has a par value of HK$1.00 per token. Anchorpoint must hold reserve assets worth at least HK$1 for every HKDAP token outstanding. The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) granted stablecoin issuer licenses to Anchorpoint and HSBC on April 10, 2026, selecting the two firms from an initial group of 36 applicants.
Hong Kong’s stablecoin regime took effect Aug. 1, 2025, and requires licensed issuers to manage risks involving reserves, redemption and technology. Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong), HKT and Animoca Brands established Anchorpoint as a joint venture.
The Solana Foundation will also join Anchorpoint’s Tokenised Money Adoption Programme. PwC was named the programme’s inaugural partner in September. Anchorpoint CEO and co-founder Dominic Maffei said, “We are building towards an open network designed to connect ecosystems.”
