Ondas Inc. is positioning its counter-drone security portfolio for potential sales as U.S. agencies move toward procurement under a new Federal Emergency Management Agency grant phase. The company described the commercial opportunity Oct. 30; it did not announce a contract or product purchase.

FEMA made an additional $250 million available Oct. 16 through its Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems grant phase. The new phase accounts for $250 million of a $500 million federal commitment; the overall figure includes both phases. State Administrative Agencies are eligible to apply for the funding.

Ondas views the program as a possible route to government demand for its security products. The announcement described a prospective sales opportunity and did not announce a grant to Ondas.
