Claude Removes Five-Hour Limit for Verified Ultra Accounts

Claude is removing the five-hour usage limit for verified Ultra accounts, with most current subscribers included in the first rollout.

The change also renames Max 5x to Max and Max 20x to Ultra. The monthly prices remain $100 for Max and $200 for Ultra, and current subscribers do not need to take action.

Some newer accounts may keep a temporary five-hour limit while verification is pending, as a measure against fraud and abuse. Claude will email those users when the limit is lifted. Weekly usage limits remain unchanged.
