Hamilton Insurance Group, Ltd. expects low-double-digit premium growth for 2026 and kept its cat plan at 6% to 7% as gross premiums written rose 17% in the third quarter.

The company recorded $81 million in net income and $180 million in operating income. Its combined ratio was 97.3%.

Losses tied to conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East pressured results. Hamilton's reserve review included $42 million in estimated Ukraine-related specialty losses, partly offset by $30 million in favorable prior-year development on other specialty lines.

For the Jan. 1 reinsurance renewal, Hamilton expects price reductions to be smaller than at the previous Jan. 1 renewal. It expects rates to remain adequate and terms and conditions to stay largely intact.
