Piper Sandler Companies expects the fourth quarter to be its strongest quarter of 2026, though below last year's record, as management anticipates a modest revenue improvement from Q3.

The company expects equity brokerage revenue to rise and fixed-income revenue to remain steady. It did not provide specific Q4 revenue or earnings-per-share guidance.

Advisory revenue increased 18% year over year in Q3, led by financial services and energy. Management described its pipeline of potential deals as healthy, while higher yields delayed or downsized municipal deals. Corporate financing activity is expected to slow in Q4.

“Our business produced strong results against market conditions that were increasingly selective during the third quarter,” Chairman and CEO Chad Abraham said.
