Tesla formed a special committee of disinterested directors to explore closer ties with SpaceX, as Megapack sales from Tesla to SpaceX totaled $626 million in the first nine months of 2026.
The review may include a business combination. No transaction is assured.
Accounts receivable from SpaceX totaled $729 million as of Sept. 30.
The sales figure covers the nine months ended Sept. 30, while the receivables figure is a separate quarter-end balance. Receivables are amounts owed to Tesla. TokenPost previously covered Tesla’s Megapack sales to SpaceX.
