TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC introduced Must Eat, adding restaurant discovery and some reservation booking to the U.S. app across three metro areas.
The guide covers areas around New York City, Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area. Its listings draw on more than 40 million posts, reviews and comments on TikTok. Users can browse two categories, “Everyday Eats” and “Elevated Dining,” and narrow results by cuisine, price, score or location.
At select restaurants, users can make reservations through OpenTable. Restaurants cannot pay to appear in Must Eat.
The new guide adds dining to TikTok’s other U.S. discovery and booking features. TikTok announced TikTok GO for U.S. users in May 2026. The service helps users find and book hotels, attractions and tours through videos, search and location pages.
TikTok Shop, which fully launched in the U.S. in 2023, lets users buy products through shoppable videos and livestreams. Third-party payment platforms facilitate those U.S. Shop transactions.
