People familiar with the discussions say Singapore data center operator STT GDC is negotiating a proposed $2.4 billion bank loan as artificial intelligence investment drives infrastructure borrowing.

The proposed syndicated facility would have a three-year term, with interest set 165 basis points above the Singapore Overnight Rate Average (SORA). It would include an option to extend the term by up to two years. STT GDC plans to use the proceeds to finance its assets.

Moody’s Ratings expects data center investment to total at least $3 trillion over the next five years.
