Alphabet Launches Second Euro Bond Sale of 2026 in Seven Tranches
The offering supports AI investment as the Google parent plans $180 billion to $190 billion in capital expenditures this year.

Alphabet has launched a seven-tranche euro bond offering, its second such sale in 2026, as the Google parent raises debt to support artificial intelligence investment.
The offering follows $20.3 billion in net proceeds from senior unsecured notes issued in the second quarter of 2026. Alphabet’s planned capital expenditures for this year are $180 billion to $190 billion. The company had also raised more than $85 billion in debt over the year before its first-quarter disclosure.
The sale comes as major technology companies borrow alongside investment in AI infrastructure. By early May, Meta, Alphabet, Amazon, Microsoft and Oracle together accounted for more than 15% of U.S. investment-grade debt issuance. Alphabet’s new euro offering adds to the broader technology-sector borrowing trend tied to AI investment, as covered in technology companies’ AI-linked bond borrowing.
