Anthropic's amended S-1 filing with the SEC disclosed $17 billion in revenue for the third quarter of 2026, alongside a $567 million GAAP operating loss after a profitable Q2.

Revenue rose 1,127% year over year and nearly 50% from Q2, when it was $11.555 billion. Anthropic had $974 million in GAAP operating income in Q2.

Adjusted operating income reached $2.5 billion, up from $2.2 billion in Q2, while adjusted operating margin narrowed to 15% from 19%.

The quarter’s pressures included about $5 billion in short-term computing commitments, which are more expensive than multiyear agreements, and roughly $2 billion in noncash expenses tied to the employee donation-matching plan.

More than 11,900 customers each generated at least $100,000 in revenue for Anthropic during the trailing 12 months; more than 1,900 generated at least $1 million. For the first nine months of 2026, revenue totaled $33.242 billion and the operating loss was $1.26 billion. The amendment adds Q3 results, while the IPO price range and share count remain blank.
