Wallets and Interfaces fees fell 60% as crypto prices and activity declined, while blockchain revenue overall is estimated at about $100 billion in 2026.

The 60% figure has no stated comparison period or dollar total. It therefore does not show how long the decline covered or the amount of fees involved.

The broader blockchain revenue estimate is about $100 billion for 2026, compared with about $140 billion in 2025, a 28% decline. The 2026 figure is an estimate based on data through the third quarter, not a completed annual result. TokenPost previously covered the wider 2026 revenue estimate.

Fees are total user payments to protocols. Protocol revenue is the portion of those fees retained after contributor payments. The distinction matters here because the 60% figure concerns fees for one sector, while the broader estimate covers several types of blockchain-related income.

The estimate draws on data covering 2,621 protocols and earnings reports from 104 public companies through the third quarter. Its scope also includes off-chain exchange fees, stablecoin reserve income, and mining and staking rewards.

Wallets and Interfaces and Consumer are separate sectors. Consumer was flat overall, while its largest category, gambling and gaming, grew 8%.

“The end of the bull market in 2025 also marked a peak in blockchain revenues, but the more important story is underneath the drawdown,” said Robert Koschig, head of economics at 1kx.
