Moscow Exchange Sets Clearing Terms for Dec. 1 Crypto Market
The Russian exchange plans to route Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH) and Tether (USDT) trades through its stock-market clearing system, with same-day or next-day settlement.

Moscow Exchange plans to route digital-currency trades through its stock-market infrastructure and the National Clearing Centre’s unified clearing system when it begins trading on Dec. 1. The arrangement will cover Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH) and Tether (USDT), with clients able to settle on the trade date or the following day.
The exchange announced Monday that the launch will begin with pilot trades. It plans to add participants in stages as they are ready. Swaps will also be available as a tool for managing liquidity.
The planned session will run from 10:50 p.m. ET Nov. 30 to 3:50 p.m. ET Dec. 1 (03:50–20:50 UTC Dec. 1), following the exchange’s stock-market schedule. Moscow Exchange describes the venue as Russia’s first organized market for digital currencies. TokenPost previously outlined the hours for the Dec. 1 pilot.
The market falls under Federal Law No. 282-FZ, “On Digital Currencies and Digital Rights,” which took effect Sept. 1. Nonqualified investors must pass a test and face an annual limit of 300,000 rubles through one broker.
