Fabrinet posted record first-quarter revenue of $1.4745 billion and forecast as much as $1.65 billion for the next quarter, while authorizing up to $103 million for additional share purchases.

Revenue for the fiscal quarter ended Sept. 25, 2026, rose 51% from $978.1 million in the year-earlier period. The result was $49.5 million above the top of Fabrinet’s August projection, which called for revenue of $1.375 billion to $1.425 billion. The company identified the revenue figure as a quarterly record.

Non-GAAP diluted earnings reached $4.34 per share, compared with $2.92 a year earlier. That was 9 cents higher than the high end of the prior forecast range of $4.10 to $4.25. GAAP diluted earnings per share were $2.86, up from $2.66 in the same quarter a year earlier.

For its fiscal quarter ending Dec. 25, 2026, Fabrinet projected revenue of $1.6 billion to $1.65 billion. It also forecast GAAP diluted earnings of $3.81 to $3.96 per share and non-GAAP diluted earnings of $4.77 to $4.92. The company’s non-GAAP guidance excludes share-based compensation and certain nonrecurring items.

Fabrinet’s board authorized as much as another $103 million for purchases of ordinary shares, lifting the aggregate program authorization to $637.3 million. The added authorization sets a limit for potential purchases; it does not mean Fabrinet has completed them.

“Broad-based demand across multiple significant programs drove these results, with new product ramps further supporting our growth,” Chairman and CEO Seamus Grady said.

Fabrinet provides manufacturing services to original equipment makers. It makes optical communications components, modules and subsystems, as well as products for automotive, medical and industrial markets.

The results followed TokenPost’s Nov. 1 preview of Fabrinet’s quarter. The company’s second-quarter outlook covers the period ending Dec. 25, 2026.
