Cabot Revenue Rises to $1.009 Billion as Adjusted EPS Falls
Net income attributable to Cabot rose to $66 million, and the company forecast fiscal 2027 adjusted EPS of $6.15 to $6.75.

Cabot Corporation's fourth-quarter revenue rose to $1.009 billion as adjusted earnings per share fell, while its fiscal 2027 forecast set a range for the year ahead.
For the three months ended Sept. 30, revenue increased from $899 million a year earlier. Adjusted EPS was $1.61, down from $1.70. Net income attributable to Cabot rose to $66 million from $43 million, while GAAP diluted EPS increased to $1.25 from $0.79.
Adjusted EPS is a per-share earnings measure calculated under a company's non-GAAP methodology. Cabot also provided GAAP diluted EPS for the quarter, giving two measures of its per-share results. The company released its results after the market closed Nov. 2.
Segment results moved in different directions. Performance Chemicals earnings before interest and taxes, or EBIT, increased to $60 million from $42 million. Reinforcement Materials EBIT fell to $87 million from $119 million. That segment moved 5% more volume, partly offsetting lower gross profit per ton.
For fiscal 2026, revenue totaled $3.744 billion, compared with $3.713 billion in fiscal 2025. Adjusted EPS declined to $6.42 from $7.25. Battery Materials generated $43 million in EBITDA for fiscal 2026.
Cabot forecast fiscal 2027 adjusted EPS of $6.15 to $6.75. It also signed an agreement with the U.S. Department of Energy for a $50 million grant supporting advanced battery-additive production in Louisiana and Texas.
“We finished the year with a strong fourth quarter,” President and CEO Erica McLaughlin said. Cabot scheduled a call on its results for 8 a.m. ET Nov. 3.
