Red Robin’s preliminary comparable restaurant revenue rose 3.9% in its fiscal third quarter, with stronger average checks offsetting lower guest traffic as the burger chain moved its earnings release to Nov. 18.

The unaudited figure covers the 12 weeks ended Oct. 4, 2026, and reflects comparable restaurant revenue rather than total company revenue. Average guest check increased 5.6%, while guest traffic fell 1.7%. The higher check more than offset the traffic decline in the comparable revenue result.

The increase followed 1.3% comparable restaurant revenue growth in the 12 weeks ended July 12. The third-quarter figures are preliminary and may change after Red Robin completes its accounting procedures.

Red Robin rescheduled its fiscal third-quarter results release and conference call from Nov. 4 to Nov. 18. The call is set for 4:30 p.m. ET (21:30 UTC). The company connected the delay to accounting and valuation work tied to completed restaurant refranchising transactions and a debt refinancing. Red Robin said the postponement did not reflect a significant shift in its finances or operating results.

Red Robin planned to file a Form NT 10-Q and expected to file its Form 10-Q within the five-calendar-day extension. The release and call will provide the company’s next scheduled update on the quarter.

Three refranchising transactions covered 108 company-owned restaurants and generated about $89.4 million in aggregate cash proceeds, subject to customary adjustments. Red Robin completed the refinancing of its secured credit facility on Oct. 2. The five-year agreement totals $115 million, comprising a $25 million revolving line and a $90 million term loan.

Red Robin President and CEO Dave Pace linked the comparable sales increase to the company’s Big Yummm value platform, which launched in July 2025. “The 3.9% increase in same store sales benefited from the success of our Big Yummm value platform, which launched in July 2025,” Pace said.
