Genmab reported positive results from three Phase 3 cancer trials in October, while its Nasdaq-listed shares rose 91.5% from Aug. 3 to Nov. 2 as the company pursues greater ownership of medicines it develops.

The American depositary shares closed at $28.68 on Aug. 3 and $54.92 on Nov. 2. The comparison period began before the October trial announcements and ended five days after the latest result.

On Oct. 28, Genmab reported first interim results for petosemtamab in first-line treatment of patients with PD-L1-positive recurrent or metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. Petosemtamab combined with pembrolizumab reduced the relative risk of death by 50% compared with pembrolizumab alone. The combination also met the trial’s objective response rate endpoint, with an odds ratio of 3.17. Genmab plans to present the full results at a future medical meeting.

On Oct. 23, Genmab reported results from a Phase 3 trial of Rina-S in platinum-resistant ovarian cancer. Among 584 patients, the treatment reduced the relative risk of disease progression or death by 71% and the relative risk of death by 57% compared with investigator’s-choice chemotherapy.

Earlier in October, Genmab and AbbVie reported that epcoritamab, sold as Epkinly, reduced the relative risk of disease progression or death by 51% when added to R-CHOP for newly diagnosed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. The results applied to patients with International Prognostic Index scores of 2–5. The combination remains investigational.

Genmab completed its acquisition of Merus in December 2025 for a total purchase price of $8.017 billion. Merus’ lead asset was petosemtamab. In May 2024, Genmab completed its $1.8 billion cash acquisition of ProfoundBio, gaining worldwide rights to Rina-S. Epcoritamab is being developed with AbbVie.

Genmab’s 2025 royalties totaled $3.102 billion; DARZALEX contributed $2.443 billion and Kesimpta $443 million. CEO Jan van de Winkel said Genmab plans to retain more ownership of new medicines. The trial risk reductions are relative estimates, not absolute percentage-point differences.
