Gartner lifted its 2026 financial targets after third-quarter adjusted earnings per share rose 30.1% year over year, signaling a stronger full-year outlook despite lower reported revenue.

For the three months ended Sept. 30, Gartner reported revenue of $1.505 billion, down 1.3% from a year earlier. Adjusted revenue also totaled $1.505 billion, an increase of 2.4%. The two measures had the same dollar total for the quarter but different year-over-year growth rates.

Adjusted EPS was $3.59, compared with $2.76 a year earlier. GAAP diluted EPS reached $3.35, up from $0.47 in the year-earlier quarter.

Gartner raised its full-year adjusted revenue target to at least $6.405 billion from $6.375 billion. Its target for adjusted EBITDA excluding the divested operation increased to at least $1.615 billion from $1.570 billion. The adjusted EPS target rose to at least $14.65 from $14, while the free-cash-flow target moved to at least $1.235 billion from $1.185 billion. The earlier outlook was issued Aug. 4.

For the third quarter, adjusted EBITDA excluding the divested operation rose 7.5% to $364 million. Free cash flow increased 2.2% to $275 million.

Contract Value, measured on a foreign-exchange-neutral basis, reached $5.3 billion, up 2.5% from a year earlier and 1.1% from the previous quarter.

“Contract Value growth accelerated again. Revenues, Adjusted EBITDA excluding divested operation, Adjusted EPS, and free cash flow were ahead of expectations,” Gartner Chairman and CEO Gene Hall said.

Gartner scheduled an earnings call for 8 a.m. ET (1300 UTC) Nov. 3.
