Transocean Ltd. expects to close its acquisition of Valaris Limited on Dec. 1, after President and CEO Keelan Adamson said required regulatory approvals are in hand.

Adamson said Transocean plans to pursue estimated annual synergies of $200 million after the deal closes. He described the company’s active fleet as effectively booked for the rest of 2026, with contract coverage nearly 95% for 2027 and about 65% for 2028.

The planned $5.8 billion acquisition previously received Brazilian antitrust clearance. Transocean expects the transaction to close Dec. 1.
