CrowdStrike Agrees to Buy Dreadnode to Add AI Security Testing
Dreadnode’s tools test AI systems against more than 100 known attack strategies. The acquisition is expected to close in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2027.

CrowdStrike agreed Tuesday, Nov. 3, to acquire Dreadnode, a deal that would add security testing for AI models, applications and agents to its Falcon platform before those systems are deployed.
Dreadnode’s tools test systems against more than 100 known AI attack strategies, including jailbreaks and prompt injection. CrowdStrike plans to turn the findings into policy recommendations in Falcon Guardian. It aims to make the automated testing generally available in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2027.
The agreement adds security testing to CrowdStrike’s broader plans for managing AI agents. The company has previously agreed to acquire Fiddler AI, whose tools are intended to monitor and explain agent behavior in production. CrowdStrike plans to offer those capabilities through Falcon Observe, also targeted for general availability in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2027.
An agent can make unintended decisions or disregard instructions while using approved tools and valid credentials. The planned Dreadnode and Fiddler additions would give Falcon ways to examine agents before launch and assess what they do afterward.
CrowdStrike separately introduced an AI Kill Switch in Falcon Guardian. The currently available gateway control can terminate unauthorized agents and prevent them from running again across an organization. Endpoint capability is planned for a later release.
CrowdStrike did not disclose a price for either acquisition. Both deals are expected to close in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2027, subject to customary closing conditions.
