On Nov. 3, LGI Homes, Inc. narrowed its 2026 home-closing forecast to 4,600–4,800 homes after third-quarter net orders fell amid stretched affordability.
The homebuilder now expects 4,600–4,800 closings for the year.
Third-quarter net orders fell to 609 homes. Closings moved in the opposite direction: LGI recorded 1,222 total home closings, a gain of more than 10% from a year earlier.

The third-quarter cancellation rate was 53.8%.
The revised outlook follows PulteGroup’s cut to its 2026 home-closing forecast in October. PulteGroup lowered both ends of its range by 1,500 homes, to 27,000–27,500, after its third-quarter closings fell 9% from a year earlier.
