People Incorporated Expects to Resume Share Buybacks on Nov. 4
The company bought no common shares in the quarter ended Sept. 30. As of Oct. 30, 12.5 million shares remained under its repurchase authorizations.

People Incorporated expects to resume buying back its shares Wednesday after a blackout tied to discussions with MGM Resorts International, Chairman and Senior Executive Barry Diller said on Tuesday’s earnings call.
The company bought no common shares in the quarter ended Sept. 30. As of Oct. 30, 12.5 million shares remained under its repurchase authorizations.
Diller’s comments came a day after People Incorporated released its third-quarter results and narrowed its full-year 2026 adjusted EBITDA outlook for its publishing business, People Inc., to $330 million to $345 million. Its August outlook for the publisher was $325 million to $355 million. The parent company also narrowed its consolidated range to $263 million to $283 million from $255 million to $290 million.
“We are, as they say, open to buy beginning, I think it is tomorrow, and you will see us doing so,” Diller said on the Nov. 3 call, describing the expected Nov. 4 restart.
