OpenAI Will Acquire Pierre Computer for Codex Code Storage

OpenAI will acquire developer-tools startup Pierre Computer and plans to integrate its Code Storage function into Codex, placing it among companies challenging Microsoft-owned GitHub as AI agents take on more coding work.

Pierre Computer’s technology is already integrated into Codex, OpenAI’s code-generation model. The planned addition would bring the startup’s Code Storage function into a product that already uses its technology.
