BMW reiterated its 2028 target for a 3% to 5% EBIT margin in its Automotive segment on Nov. 4, while its revised 2026 forecast puts the division near break-even.

BMW first announced the 2028 target Sept. 30, before changing its 2026 outlook. The company now forecasts a 2026 Automotive segment EBIT margin ranging from a 0.5% loss to a 0.5% profit, down from 1% to 3%. Fourth-quarter charges tied to expanded and intensified portfolio and structural measures are part of the revised guidance.

BMW expects Automotive-segment deliveries to decline moderately in 2026, after previously projecting a slight decline. The company also accelerated its organizational realignment. BMW’s revised 2026 margin outlook details the forecast change and related measures.
