Royalty Pharma raised its 2026 Portfolio Receipts outlook to $3.5 billion to $3.55 billion after third-quarter receipts rose 9%, while net income attributable to the company declined year over year.

The new guidance is up from the company’s previous range of $3.4 billion to $3.5 billion. It includes expected Royalty Receipts growth of 10% to 11% and excludes new transactions and borrowings announced after Nov. 4.

Portfolio Receipts, which totaled $890 million for the three months ended Sept. 30, include Royalty Receipts plus milestones and other contractual receipts. That total was up from $814 million in the same period a year earlier. Royalty Receipts reached $883 million, an increase from $811 million. Royalty Pharma attributed the growth mainly to Tremfya, Voranigo, Evrysdi and Imdelltra.

Net income attributable to Royalty Pharma fell to $144.7 million from $284.2 million in the third quarter of 2025. Diluted earnings per Class A ordinary share declined to 32 cents from 66 cents. Total income and other revenues increased to $690.1 million from $609.3 million.

The quarter also included a $150.4 million noncash impairment charge related to pelacarsen. Novartis said the drug’s Phase 3 Lp(a)HORIZON trial did not meet its primary endpoint of reducing cardiovascular-event risk versus placebo.

Royalty Pharma generated $686 million in net cash from operating activities, compared with $703 million a year earlier. As of Sept. 30, the company had $514 million in cash and cash equivalents and $8.8 billion in total debt principal.

Royalty Pharma acquires biopharmaceutical royalty interests and helps fund drug development through royalty transactions and co-funding agreements. The company had previously set Nov. 4 for its third-quarter results release in its results date announcement.

“We delivered 9% growth in Royalty Receipts for the quarter and double-digit growth year-to-date,” Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board Pablo Legorreta said.
