ADNOC Calls Report of Third UAE Pipeline Inaccurate, Speculative

The reported route would connect the UAE’s western coast with Fujairah. ADNOC is separately advancing a West-East pipeline expansion designed to double export capacity by 2027.

Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (ADNOC) disputed a report that it was weighing a third crude pipeline to Fujairah, a route that could let shipments avoid the Strait of Hormuz.

ADNOC described the report as inaccurate and speculative. The possible line was described as running from the UAE’s western coast to Fujairah on its eastern coast. The plans were not finalized, and the route could change.

The UAE’s existing line from Habshan to Fujairah has operated since 2012. It can carry 1.5 million barrels of crude a day, with capacity expandable to 1.8 million.

Abu Dhabi is also advancing a separate West-East Pipeline expansion, designed to double ADNOC’s export capacity through Fujairah by 2027. The project is expected to begin operating in 2027.
