Some investors were asked to commit as much as $500 million before the formal syndication process begins.

Goldman Sachs and Apollo Global Management are seeking investors for portions of a roughly $40 billion financing package tied to SpaceX’s planned Nvidia chip purchase. The package is part of SpaceX’s chip financing arrangement.
Some investors have been asked to commit as much as $500 million before formal syndication begins. The debt package includes an $8.3 billion senior secured loan and multiple bond issues.
Goldman is leading the loan, while Apollo is the main bond investor. Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO) also participated in the financing.
Alongside $7 billion in lease prepayments, the financing is intended to fund a purchase of about $47.3 billion in Nvidia Rubin chips. Deliveries are expected in the first half of 2027, and SpaceX plans to lease the chips under a five-year agreement.
