The company raised the payout from $1.00 per share. Shareholders of record Nov. 23 are eligible for payment on Dec. 7.

Atmos Energy Corporation (NYSE: ATO) increased its quarterly dividend to $1.09 per share, a 9% rise that lifts the cash payout for shareholders, with the next distribution scheduled for December.

The new rate is up from $1.00 per share. Shareholders of record Nov. 23 are eligible for the Dec. 7 payment, and Nov. 23 is also the ex-dividend date.
