Shareholders of record Nov. 25 qualify for the payment, scheduled for Dec. 31.

Sun Life Financial Inc. increased its quarterly dividend by 4.2% to CAD 1.00 per share, raising the cash payment for shareholders ahead of its Dec. 31 distribution.

The new rate is up from CAD 0.96 per share. Shareholders of record Nov. 25 qualify for the payment, and that date is also the ex-dividend date.
