Vir Expects ECLIPSE-2 and ECLIPSE-3 Trial Results in Q1 2027
The company had $901.3 million in cash, cash equivalents and investments as of Sept. 30 and projects a runway into the second half of 2028.

Vir Biotechnology expects results from its ECLIPSE-2 and ECLIPSE-3 trials in the first quarter of 2027, adding two expected readouts to its hepatitis delta program.
Vir's ECLIPSE-1 trial evaluates elebsiran and tobevibart against deferred treatment in the United States and regions where bulevirtide use is limited. Its primary endpoint combines undetected hepatitis delta virus (HDV) RNA with normalized alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels at week 48.
Vir had $901.3 million in cash, cash equivalents and investments as of Sept. 30. That balance excluded a $90 million receipt from its collaboration with Gilead. The company projects its funds will support operations into the second half of 2028.
