Numica announced $21 million in combined equity and debt financing on Thursday, Nov. 5, to fund purchases of small U.S. accounting practices and move their work onto an AI platform. Roosh X and Flashpoint Capital provided the financing.

The company launched in June 2025 and bought its first New York practice several months later. Its platform covers bookkeeping, general-ledger work, practice management, billing and tax filing. Accountants review its AI-generated work before it is used.

Margins at its first New York practice reached 52% after two months, up from 37%, and were projected to reach 70%.

Owners who are retiring can remain part-time and serve long-standing clients under transition plans lasting up to four years. “If your CPA is retiring, you are left,” said Slava Orekoff, Numica’s co-founder and CEO.

U.S. schools awarded 55,152 bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting during the 2023-24 academic year, a 6.6% decline from the prior year. The degree tally is a lagging indicator; accounting enrollment grew during the 2024-25 school year.
