Evergy’s next quarterly distribution will rise to $0.7225 per common share after the company’s board authorized a 4% increase. The higher payment is scheduled for Dec. 18 for shareholders listed by Nov. 20.

The board’s declaration took effect Nov. 4. The previous quarterly amount was $0.6950, set alongside Evergy’s second-quarter results on Aug. 6.

Evergy Chairman and CEO David Campbell said the increase supports the company’s long-term goal of keeping its payout ratio within a 50% to 60% range.

Evergy’s GAAP earnings for the three months ended Sept. 30 were $612.9 million, or $2.59 per share. In the year-earlier period, earnings were $475 million, or $2.03 per share. On an adjusted basis, earnings totaled $609.9 million, or $2.58 per diluted share, compared with $475.1 million, or $2.03 per diluted share, a year earlier.

The company raised its 2026 adjusted earnings-per-share outlook to $4.35-$4.50 from $4.14-$4.34. Evergy cited warmer weather, recovery tied to regulated investment, demand growth after weather normalization and higher revenue from large customers as factors in the year-over-year increase. Higher operations and maintenance expenses and depreciation partly offset that growth.

Three amendments to existing electric service agreements are expected to bring about 250 megawatts of added load. Evergy also announced a letter of intent with Digital Realty concerning a 1.4-gigawatt project in its Kansas and Missouri service territories.
