Ondas Targets 10 ULTRA Aircraft a Month by 2028 With Stemme Deal
The proposed all-cash acquisition would add the German airframe maker as Ondas plans 345,000 square feet of U.S. airframe production space.

Ondas Inc. is targeting production of 10 ULTRA surveillance aircraft a month by 2028 as a proposed acquisition would bring the aircraft’s German airframe maker under its ownership.
Ondas announced Nov. 5 that it had signed a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of Stemme GmbH in an all-cash transaction. The company did not disclose the purchase price or financing details. Stemme manufactures the airframe used by ULTRA.
Stemme’s design, production and maintenance facilities in Strausberg and Pasewalk, Germany, span about 135,571 square feet combined. The facilities operate at approximately 25% of production capacity, with no current aircraft-output figure disclosed.
Ondas plans 345,000 square feet of U.S. airframe production space. The company has not announced a location or schedule for that space, so it has not given a site-opening date tied to its 2028 production target.
Ondas had previously projected ULTRA production of two aircraft per month by 2027. The new 10-per-month goal is five times that earlier monthly projection and would equal an annualized pace of 120 aircraft once reached. Ondas has not identified customer orders that would support production at the full target rate.
In July, Ondas secured an $18.8 million ULTRA order for an unnamed customer. The company did not disclose how many aircraft the order covered, so the order value does not establish a delivery quantity.
ULTRA is operationally deployed by the U.S. Air Force. The aircraft can remain airborne for more than 70 hours and carry payloads weighing over 400 pounds. “Our objective is to align aircraft production with the scale of customer requirements,” said Eric Brock, Ondas chairman and CEO.
Ondas expects the Stemme acquisition to close in the first quarter of 2027, pending regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.
