First National Bank Alaska posted $25.176 million in unaudited third-quarter net income, up from a year earlier, while earnings per common share rose to $7.95 for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2026.

The bank announced the results Nov. 4. Net income was $21.359 million, or $6.75 per common share, in the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2025.

The bank’s year-to-date net interest margin was 4.05% through Sept. 30, compared with 3.76% through the same date in 2025. Loans totaled $2.8 billion at quarter-end, an increase of $180 million from a year earlier and a decline of $51.8 million during the quarter. Nonperforming loans were $6.8 million, or 0.24% of outstanding loans.

Higher salaries and a larger workforce drove most of the quarter’s $1.9 million, or 7.2%, rise in noninterest expenses. Board Chair and CEO/President Betsy Lawer said, “Our third quarter results reflect disciplined financial management.”
