Apple is planning an approximately $7 billion investment-grade bond offering, adding to recent borrowing by major technology companies financing artificial intelligence infrastructure.

The proposed issuance is divided into seven tranches, with maturities ranging from two to 10 years. Its final size may change with investor demand. Proceeds would go toward general corporate purposes, including share repurchases, dividends and capital spending.

Apple last raised money through a bond offering in May 2025, when it brought in $4.5 billion.

Microsoft, Oracle and Meta Platforms have raised a combined $50 billion in U.S. debt markets since last week to support investment in AI infrastructure.
