Tapestry, the parent company of Coach and Kate Spade New York, raised its fiscal 2027 revenue and earnings forecasts Thursday, Nov. 5, after Coach’s first-quarter growth outweighed a decline at Kate Spade.

The company now expects fiscal 2027 revenue of $8.5 billion to $8.6 billion, up from its previous range of $8.4 billion to $8.5 billion. It projects 6% to 7% growth on a constant-currency basis compared with the prior year.

Tapestry lifted its non-GAAP diluted earnings-per-share forecast to $8.25 to $8.35 from $7.80 to $7.90. The new range represents projected growth of 17% to 18% from the prior year. The company also expects operating-margin expansion of about 100 basis points, compared with its previous forecast of about 50 basis points.

Net sales for the fiscal first quarter ended Sept. 26 totaled $1.89 billion, up 11% on a reported basis. Sales increased 12% on a pro forma basis, which excludes Stuart Weitzman sales from the prior-year comparison.

Coach revenue rose 16% to $1.661 billion. Kate Spade revenue fell 10% to $233 million.

Tapestry raised its fiscal 2027 capital-return outlook to about $2 billion, including expected share repurchases of $1.7 billion. That buyback forecast is $350 million higher than the company’s previous outlook.

CEO Joanne Crevoiserat said Tapestry was “raising our full year outlook.” The forecast assumes a low-to-mid-20% tariff rate on U.S. inventory receipts, which the company expects to result in a modest net tariff benefit year over year.

The fiscal 2027 projections compare 52-week periods and exclude the year’s 53rd week. Tapestry said it could not fully reconcile its non-GAAP earnings guidance to GAAP because some future items could not yet be reasonably estimated.

The results follow a Nov. 2 preview of Tapestry’s earnings.
