Primerica expects sales in its Investment and Savings Products segment to grow at a mid- to high-teens rate in 2026, while term-life policies issued decline 8% to 10% from 2025, CEO Glenn Williams said Thursday, Nov. 5.

Williams gave the outlook on Primerica’s earnings call, which began at 10 a.m. ET (15:00 UTC). He expects fourth-quarter policy issuance to fall at a low-single-digit rate and segment sales to rise at a mid-single-digit rate. Both full-year projections compare with 2025.

The company’s third-quarter results provide a recent measure of those businesses. For the quarter ended Sept. 30, Primerica issued 73,813 life insurance policies, down 7% from 79,379 a year earlier. Investment and Savings Products sales reached $4.4 billion, up 19% from $3.7 billion.

Williams discussed the policy outlook in the context of the term-life business. He pointed to economic pressure among middle-income customers and limited growth in the sales force as factors affecting policy trends. The company had 147,058 life-licensed representatives at quarter-end, down 3% year over year. Third-quarter recruiting totaled 90,818, a 10% decline from the same period a year earlier.

Primerica focuses on middle-income customers in the U.S. and Canada. Its offerings include term-life insurance and investment and savings products such as mutual funds, managed accounts and annuities. The 2026 investment outlook concerns sales of those products, not investment performance or asset growth.
