Five9 agreed to buy Level AI in a deal valued at $325 million, giving the contact-center software company a route to sell customer-service AI to businesses using rival systems or equipment kept on premises.

The Nov. 5 agreement provides for $325 million in cash, with the final amount adjusted at closing for Level AI’s cash, debt, transaction expenses and net working capital. Five9’s board voted unanimously to approve it. The company expects the deal to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.

Five9 plans two ways to sell Level AI’s applications: as part of its Genius CX Platform and as standalone products. The separate option is intended for businesses that run contact centers on their own systems or use another cloud provider. It would let those customers use Level AI’s tools while keeping their existing contact-center software.

Level AI’s products include AI agents for voice and digital service, tools that assist human agents, quality management features and analysis of customer conversations. Its applications were already available through Five9’s CX Marketplace, and the companies have worked together since 2022.

Level AI’s platform processes more than 1 billion customer interactions each year. Five9 serves more than 4,000 customers. The standalone sales plan gives Five9 a way to offer Level AI’s applications beyond companies already using its own contact-center platform.

Five9’s revenue for the three months ended Sept. 30, 2026, was $323.3 million, up 13% from the same period a year earlier. The proposed consideration is roughly in line with that quarter’s revenue, though the final payment remains subject to adjustments. At quarter-end, Five9 had $263.8 million in cash and cash equivalents and $433.8 million in marketable investments. It expects to use cash and marketable investments to fund the acquisition.

Five9 CEO Amit Mathradas said customers can “adopt proven AI on top of the platform they already use.” Level AI CEO Ashish Nagar said the companies will remain separate until the deal closes: “Until then, Level AI and Five9 operate as separate companies.”
