Nvidia Completes $1 Billion Investment in Naver for 4.13% Stake
Naver raised the funds through a private placement of more than 6.5 million shares as it prepares a GPU infrastructure project in Sejong.

Nvidia completed a $1 billion investment in South Korean internet company Naver on Nov. 6, receiving a 4.13% stake as the companies advance an artificial intelligence infrastructure partnership announced in June.
Naver raised about $1 billion through a private placement of more than 6.5 million shares. The share sale generated about 1.3 trillion South Korean won in proceeds and gave Nvidia its stake through a third-party allotment.
The investment is expected to accelerate the companies' AI factory project, part of a partnership announced in June. Naver plans to begin the project at its Gak Sejong data center in Sejong, where it will build GPU-based infrastructure.
The company also plans to expand its GPU-as-a-Service business, linking that service to the project's planned infrastructure. The data center will serve as the starting point for the effort, which combines a facility buildout with a service expansion. The deal adds an equity investment to Nvidia's AI infrastructure activity in Asia.
