Fox Announces Completion of $22 Billion Roku Purchase; Wood to Join Board
Roku founder Anthony Wood will also co-chair the newly formed Fox Digital Platforms.

Fox announced it completed its $22 billion purchase of Roku on Nov. 6, with Roku founder Anthony Wood set to join its board and co-chair a new digital platforms unit.
Wood will also lead Fox Digital Platforms jointly.
The transaction had been expected to close in the first half of 2027. Before completion, Fox had received all foreign regulatory approvals for the planned acquisition.
The agreed consideration was $160 per share in cash and Fox Class A stock, putting the deal’s enterprise value at about $22 billion. In October, Fox Class B shareholders approved issuing Class A shares for the acquisition. The tally was 197,363,560 for, 71,891 against and 45,001 abstaining; the authorization covered share issuance and did not itself close the acquisition.
