Tesla plans to begin its Argentina rollout with an exhibition and test drives on Nov. 20, while sales are expected to start in 2027. The initial event will give the company a public presence in the country before customers can buy its vehicles there.

The exhibition space will be at Unicenter shopping center in Martínez, Buenos Aires province. Two vehicles will be on display, and the test-drive zone can accommodate 10 cars. A promotional video featured the Model 3 and Model Y.

Tesla Argentina S.R.L. was incorporated in March 2026. Joaquín Lizarralde was appointed country manager for Argentina and Uruguay.

Argentina raised the free-on-board value cap for electric vehicle imports eligible for zero tariffs to $35,000 in 2026. Tesla has also initiated agreements with YPF focused on charging infrastructure. Full sales are expected to begin in 2027.
