Dogecoin surged nearly 6% in the past 24 hours, reaching $0.261 as traders positioned for the highly anticipated debut of the first U.S. Dogecoin exchange-traded fund (ETF), set to launch on September 12 under the ticker “DOJE.” This marks the first U.S.-listed ETF tied to a memecoin, sparking strong interest among retail and institutional investors.

Large holders, or whales, accumulated over 280 million DOGE in the days leading up to the ETF debut, signaling growing confidence in the token’s near-term outlook. The surge in buying coincided with breakout momentum late in the session, with volumes topping 1.1 billion—nearly triple the daily average.

During the 24-hour period from September 11 to September 12, Dogecoin advanced from $0.246 to $0.261, gaining 5.8%. Trading ranged between $0.245 and $0.264, with the key breakout occurring when DOGE cleared the $0.253 resistance zone.
