Vandell Aljarrah Cites XRP’s Two-Year Pause Before 2017-18 Rally

Aljarrah put XRP’s gain from its 2014 cycle lows to its January 2018 high at 119,000%, while different price endpoints produce another figure.

Black Swan Capitalist co-founder Vandell Aljarrah pointed to roughly two years of XRP consolidation before its 2017-18 rally in an argument about patience during stagnant markets. “Losing patience during market stagnation is a novice mistake,” he wrote.

In a separate reply, Aljarrah put XRP’s gain from its 2014 cycle lows to its January 2018 high at 119,000%. He said the result depends on the starting price and exchange but did not specify the prices used.

XRP’s 2014 low was $0.002802 on July 7, and its January 2018 high was $3.84 on Jan. 4. Those endpoints imply a gain of about 136,945%. Using $3.40 as XRP’s Q1 2018 high produces a different calculation.

The consolidation period and Aljarrah’s percentage estimate cover different spans of XRP’s history. His comparison describes a past rally and gives no timetable for a future move.
