SMQKE Says XRP Network Effects Have Yet to Shape Its Price
The researcher ties XRP’s long-term value to wider use by banks, payment providers and apps. An accompanying video describes network adoption as a curve that can accelerate after a slow start.

Crypto researcher SMQKE argued in an Oct. 21 post that XRP’s long-term value depends on wider network adoption, while adoption has not yet become a driver of the token’s market price. The post says banks, payment providers and applications joining the network can make it more useful to existing participants.
An accompanying video invokes Metcalfe’s Law, which models network value as increasing with the square of its user base. Separately, it describes network growth as an S-curve: activity can build gradually before accelerating as participation expands.
The video also points to XRP transaction burns, which destroy small amounts of the token and reduce supply. It presents XRP as a potential bridge asset between currencies. In the video’s example, 180 currencies could be connected through 180 XRP pairs, with each added currency potentially bringing more demand for XRP.
Cross-border payments, tokenization and decentralized finance are among the other areas the video identifies as possible sources of network activity. Rising XRP transfers and new addresses show increased activity but do not by themselves establish that network growth will drive further price movement.
