Jim Cramer’s Charitable Trust Plans 10-Share GE Vernova Buy
The planned trade would lift the trust’s holding to 100 shares and its portfolio weighting to about 2.15%, from 1.9%.

Jim Cramer’s Charitable Trust announced plans Thursday to buy 10 shares of GE Vernova at about $818 each. If completed, the trade would bring the trust’s holding to 100 shares as investors weigh the cost of expanding data center capacity.
The proposed addition would increase GE Vernova’s portfolio weighting to about 2.15%, up from 1.9%. The trust had paused purchases of data center-related stocks for five weeks; its previous purchase was Micron.
AI-related semiconductor and industrial stocks fell Thursday as investors focused on how companies would pay for data center expansion. The trust’s comments pointed to pressure on company cash flows and less attractive debt financing as concerns behind the pullback, rather than weaker demand for AI products.
GE Vernova ranked third-worst in the S&P 500 on Thursday. The decline came amid a sell-off in AI-linked stocks. The company makes gas turbines used to power data centers, along with electrical equipment for the facilities.
After Thursday’s move, GE Vernova shares were more than $100 lower, or about 12% below their Aug. 24 level. The trust lowered its rating to 2 on Aug. 24 as it grew more cautious about AI-related stocks. On Thursday, it raised the rating to 1, citing stronger demand for AI applications as part of its rationale.
