Shares of South Korean battery and battery-materials companies rose Wednesday, Nov. 4, with Samsung SDI gaining more than 10% and four other named companies also advancing.

LG Energy Solution climbed more than 4%. SK Innovation, POSCO Holdings and LG Chem each rose more than 2%.
