BitMine Chairman Tom Lee predicted Democrats could become more supportive of crypto after the midterms, linking the possibility to what he described as the party’s control of Congress and the movement of lobbying money.

Lee also argued that markets have historically tended to rise after midterm elections. His comments revisit his claim that Democrats who opposed crypto legislation before the election now want to pass it.

Bitcoin (BTC) traded at $75,748, down 0.1% over 24 hours, as of 1:45 p.m. ET (18:45 UTC) Saturday, Nov. 7.
