Murad Mahmudov Says SPX6900 Holders Mirror Early Bitcoin Investors

Mahmudov's analogy focuses on holding through volatility. SPX6900 describes its token as a community-driven meme asset intended for entertainment and says it has no intrinsic value or expectation of financial return.

Murad Mahmudov says SPX6900 (SPX) holders show the willingness to endure volatility that he associates with early Bitcoin (BTC) investors, making a comparison about behavior rather than the assets’ underlying characteristics.

“People who made it big with Bitcoin, acted exactly the same way SPX6900 Aeons are acting today. Extreme Buy-and-Hold,” Mahmudov said in an X post. He has argued that early Bitcoin investors who stayed invested through sharp declines benefited from holding instead of repeatedly trading in and out. His post applies that approach to SPX6900’s most committed holders.

SPX6900 community members call themselves Aeons and emphasize long-term conviction. The project frames that approach with the principle “Stop Trading and Believe in Something.” Community members have described dollar-cost averaging as a dominant practice in late 2024 and early 2025, while a separate principle discourages close attention to short-term price charts.

The emphasis on holding connects with Mahmudov’s earlier view that a memecoin could eventually exceed Bitcoin’s market capitalization. He tied that possibility to community support and long-term holders in his earlier argument about a memecoin surpassing Bitcoin by market value.

The analogy concerns what holders do during volatile markets. SPX6900 describes its token as a community-driven meme asset intended for entertainment and says it has no intrinsic value or expectation of financial return. The comparison does not claim that the two assets share technology, market scale or fundamentals.

A buy-and-hold approach among SPX supporters does not establish that SPX will follow Bitcoin’s market path or deliver comparable returns. Mahmudov’s statement describes a behavior he sees in the community; it does not demonstrate an equivalent investment outcome.
