According to data from XRPSCAN, the number of payments between accounts spiked during the first week of May, surpassing one million—a major milestone that underscores growing adoption.

This increase in XRPL usage comes despite recent market volatility. While transaction peaks were observed in the first two months of 2025, activity slowed slightly between March and April, reflecting a potential consolidation period. However, the early May rebound suggests a strong return of user engagement, likely fueled by XRPL’s key advantages: fast, low-cost transfers and growing support for tokenization and DeFi applications.

Analysts point to renewed institutional interest and expanding developer activity on the XRPL as possible drivers of the surge.
