Bitcoin (BTC) is trading near record highs at $106,200, gaining 1.8% in the past 24 hours. While crypto prices rise, the real momentum appears to be in Bitcoin mining stocks, fueled by increasing AI sector energy demands. Meta (NASDAQ: META) just signed a massive 20-year deal to purchase 1.1 gigawatts of nuclear power for AI-related infrastructure — a bold signal of long-term investment in energy-intensive data centers.

This growing demand is providing new hope to Bitcoin miners who have faced headwinds despite BTC’s surge. Many miners, including Marathon Digital (MARA), Riot Platforms (RIOT), Hut 8 (HUT), Core Scientific (CORZ), and CleanSpark (CLSK), are pivoting to support AI workloads. Their share prices jumped 7%-8% as the U.S. trading day neared its close.

CoreWeave (CRWV), an emerging AI infrastructure leader, surged 23% today and has skyrocketed over 270% since its March IPO, further validating investor confidence in AI-power synergies.

The broader crypto market is also seeing positive movement. The CoinDesk 20 index rose 2.8%, driven by solid gains in Solana (SOL), Uniswap (UNI), and Aave — each up between 5% and 6%. Meanwhile, crypto-related equities like Coinbase (COIN) and MicroStrategy (MSTR) added 4.6% and 4.2%, respectively.

Traditional markets also showed strength, with the Nasdaq gaining 0.8% and the S&P 500 up 0.6%, underscoring a risk-on sentiment across sectors. As Bitcoin miners adapt and AI energy demand escalates, a new convergence between crypto and tech infrastructure could redefine profitability and growth trajectories in both industries.
