Circle Mints $677 Million in USDC, Sparking Bullish Speculation

Circle, the second-largest stablecoin issuer, has minted more than $677 million worth of USD Coin (USDC) within just three hours, fueling speculation across the crypto community. Large-scale stablecoin issuances are often seen as bullish signals, suggesting preparation for heightened liquidity and potential market growth.

USDC’s 24-hour trading volume surged 20% since yesterday, and the sudden injection of hundreds of millions in tokens could ensure smooth circulation if trading activity spikes. Similar moves in the past, such as World Liberty Financial’s $200 million USD1 mint before its Coinbase listing, have been linked to major developments.

Still, not all analysts are convinced. While added liquidity could strengthen Circle’s ecosystem, the timing raises questions.
